Project | CONTRAST (new)
–A Cross-Continental Photography Journey.
I’m excited to introduce CONTRAST, a collaborative project with Argentine photographer Adriana Sanz. This project challenges us to step beyond our creative boundaries and explore a world we haven’t captured before—deep-rooted traditions, adaptations to climate change, and the human connection to livestock and the land.
CONTRAST is a cross-continental photographic project that documents traditional agricultural life in two vastly different regions: Auvergne, France, and Chubut, Patagonia. These landscapes couldn’t be more different—the rolling hills and volcanic terrain of Auvergne versus the vast, wind-swept plains of Chubut—but both regions share a profound agricultural heritage shaped by time, seasons, and cultural traditions.
We will first work individually in our own regions, capturing rural life and the significance of these farming practices. Later, we will travel to each other’s regions to experience the contrasts and similarities firsthand. This exchange will not only enrich our creative process but also deepen our understanding of the broader agricultural landscape.
This project takes us out of our comfort zones. It tells a new story—of people, traditions, and landscapes intertwined. A story of contrasts, resilience, and the evolving rhythms of rural life.
Over the next three/four years, we’ll be sharing stories, insights, and behind-the-scenes moments—fragments that define CONTRAST.
