Project | Artist-in-Residence (NEW)
This series of photographs is the continuation of the residence that KRISTEL SCHNEIDER carried out in 2022 on the Grand Site de France Les Deux-Caps. “Artist in Residence programme”, which was set up by the French region Pas-de-Calais. The exhibition, entitled “DOUBLE VUE (DOUBLE VISION) “, showcases elements and areas of the ‘Grand Site de France Les Deux-Caps’, through photos taken in eight main areas along the coast.
Where the artist normally seeks ‘pure nature’ in her work, she now decided to embrace the human elements in the area and combine them into some of her creations. During her visits, she constantly looked for combinations of multiple elements to work with. Weather, light, details and human interactions played an important part in that search. By focusing on her vision, she created a portrait of the area that is different from the traditional iconic shots you would normally see. Double Vue was created with in-camera double exposure.
